  • Three services, one campaign. Spotify, Pandora and Amazon Music, planned and reported together.
  • Only your area. A metro, a list of zip codes or a radius around your business.
  • A report of who heard it, not just the hour it ran.
What it is

Ads in the breaks of the music people stream

Free listening on Spotify, Pandora and Amazon Music is paid for by ads that play between songs, including on Alexa-enabled speakers. Your spot plays in those breaks, the way a radio spot does, but only to the listeners you aim it at.

On a phone, a spot can carry a companion banner on the app's screen, so someone who hears the ad and glances down sees the same message. On a speaker there is often no screen, so the spot does the work on its own.

Running all three together reaches more of an area than any one of them alone, and the monthly report shows the whole campaign in one place.

How it works

How it runs

  1. Choose the listeners

The audience you want and the area they live in: a metro, a list of zip codes or a radius around your location.

  2. Bring the spot

The recorded ad, and a companion banner for the apps that show one.

  3. It plays where they listen

Between songs on Spotify, Pandora and Amazon Music, on the phone, in the car and on a speaker at home.

  4. Report

Every month you see how many times it played and how many people it reached. Where there is a location to visit, visits can be counted too.

With the rest

Where it fits

Streaming audio is cheaper reach than Connected TV and often runs alongside it: the commercial on the television in the evening, the same name in their ears the next morning. Podcasts reach the same listeners at other times of day.

Questions

Questions people ask

What people want to know before they start, answered the way we would answer on a call.

Do I need a different ad for each service?

No. One recorded spot can run on all three, with a companion banner for the apps that show one.

Can I advertise on just one of them?

You can. Running all three together reaches more of your area, and the plan shows what each one adds before anything runs.

How do I know it is working if nobody can click it?

Audio is measured by plays and reach: how many times the ad was heard, and by how many different people. Where the business has a location, visits can be counted too. Most listening happens with the screen off, so clicks were never the point.

Is Launch Media part of Spotify, Pandora or Amazon?

No. Launch Media buys the advertising on these services for you. Spotify, Pandora and Amazon are trademarks of their owners, and Launch Media is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
